Frequently asked questions

Does food sold in Poland need a Polish label?

Yes. Mandatory food information for products sold in Poland must be given in Polish. For imported products a Polish sticker on the original packaging is the most common solution.

Is a sticker enough?

Yes, an additional label (sticker) is widely used. It must be durable and legible, and its content must match the original label and meet Polish requirements – this is why we check the product information, not only the text.

Who is responsible for the label?

The food business operator under whose name the food is marketed – or, if that operator is not established in the EU, the importer into the EU market (Article 8 of Regulation 1169/2011).

Do you work with companies outside the EU?

Yes. We work with producers and exporters from any country. Communication in English or Polish.

What should I send?

The label artwork or photos of the packaging, the product specification or recipe, and the name of the Polish importer if you already have one.
